Special grandmothers

So, today we have discussed the short story; The grandmothers at school. I think we agreed it was an unpleasant story. How on earth is it possible to live a life like this, without the world around them knowing anything about what's going on in these two families. I felt uncomfortable reading about these relationships. The relationships these two women have to eachothers sons is just within limits of incest.
